Shepherd's Bush
LOCATION
Shepherd's Bush is located west of Central London, 2 miles from Marble Arch and just 1 mile from trendy Nottinghill Gate. It is a real cultural melting pot - not least for all the antipodeans that have adopted it as their home away from home!
The locality has much to offer everyone: good entertainment, good shopping and above all great location, with easy access via two underground lines to the West End and the City.

TRANSPORT
Taking the Central Line from Shepherd's Bush, you arrive at Marble Arch and Oxford Street in less than 10 minutes. The Hammersmith and City line connects directly with the mainline stations of Paddington and King's Cross, and on to the City and East End of London.
There is also a multitude of buses with routes from Shepherd's Bush in every direction, including Ealing, Acton, Hammersmith, Fulham and the West End. This includes 2 night buses for those late nights out "on the town".

PUBS, CLUBS AND ENTERTAINMENT
Shepherd's Bush itself is currently undergoing a transformation with a large area near the Green being redeveloped to provide new shopping malls, sports facilities and housing. The Green itself offers a new Warner Multiplex Cinema, the infamous Walkabout Pub, the Shepherd's Bush Empire - a great venue for live music and shows, and a growing number of value for money restaurants.

SHOPPING
Just off the Green, running between Uxbridge Road and Goldhawk Road is Shepherd's Bush Market. This is a great place for bargain clothes and household items, plus the expected good value fruit and veg. stalls. There is also a Safeway supermarket as well as many ethnic shops.

EATING
You can find almost every type of food within a 5 minute walk up the Uxbridge Road, from the usual fast food outlets to Indian and Chinese takeaways, Polish delicatessens, Lebanese supermarkets, an Ethiopian restaurant and a variety of Continental eateries. There are also excellent meals to be found in many of the pubs along the road.
